Biological Testing Equipment Automation & Information Integration
An OEM equipment builder was contracted to build a custom assembly machine for a biological testing cassette.
Challenge
In addition to requiring a high rate of data, the high-speed assembly machine also had strict requirements for data collection and retention in order to meet FDA electronic records regulations.
Solution
Cybertrol implemented a solution that featured:
- Advanced configuration of data collection software combined with custom programming
- Transaction Manager for one-way data collection
- VBA for two-way database communications to update machine parameters
- SSRS reports for data presentation
Results
The final solution collected all high-speed data with confirmation to the machine for alarming. Machine parameters were tuned dynamically based on historical part performance. Individual part and traceability information saved for 900 test slides per minute put into cartridges of 50 slides each.
