On October 10, 2024, Cybertrol Engineering held its much-anticipated 5th Annual Race the Boss 5K, although this year (according to our more competitive athletes’ tracking devices) it turns out our course was a tad short—measuring in around 4.5K instead of the expected 5K (oops!). Hey, give the planning committee a break...turns out measuring is harder than running! The event was held at a new location this year, Parkers Lake Park in Plymouth, MN. Despite being in October, we were pleasantly surprised by warm temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s—perfect for a race.

As in years past, our CEO, Ben Durbin, was the boss to beat. Known for his competitive spirit, Ben trains for this event every year, keeping the competition fierce. This year, four employees rose to the challenge and succeeded in crossing the finish line ahead of him, earning themselves a well-deserved cash prizes for their efforts.
After the race, all employees were invited back to the Cybertrol headquarters for an awards ceremony, followed by a catered lunch to wrap up the event.
The Race the Boss 5K continues to be one of the most fun and anticipated events of the year, showcasing the teamwork and lighthearted competition that make Cybertrol a special place to work. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this year’s event successful! We’re already looking forward to next year’s race (hopefully with the full 5K distance) and another opportunity to challenge the boss!
Congrats to our 2024 Finishers!
